The government has shown its support for clustering at the first day of the 2009 University of poles and clusters, organized by France Clusters (CDFI) 29 and 30 September. Clusters that the Minister of Spatial Planning and the Rural Area, Michel Mercier, prefer to call « clusters » and who will benefit from a specific budget. Thus a call for projects was launched in November 2009. The 50 « clusters » selected will receive a total of ten million per year over 2010 and 2011.

Objective: to allow these networks to gain some recognition vis-à-vis their local partners, including local authorities, but also financial partners, helping them become more efficient in their business services and enable them to become professional .

This call for proposals aims to provide support to initiatives of the State copies of clusters in France, with an overall objective of driving the other clusters.

Setting an example can be analyzed in terms of impact, management or originality (eg sectors that are not covered by the policy of clusters such as culture or services, testing new ideas …). Funding of the state must allow first to give visibility to national and European clusters to be selected. It will also increase or maintain the contribution of these clusters to their member companies.

In the month of December 2009, NOGENTECH a therefore responded to the call for projects DATAR entitled « Supporting the dynamics of clusters company. This call for proposals was intended to select the best French clusters and give them an overall budget of € 10M over 2 years to complete their projects. On Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Paris, Minister of Spatial Planning and the Rural Area, Michel Mercier, announced the results of the first national selection of the « Clusters » which is NOGENTECH winner amongst 42 projects 112 candidates on the first call for projects. The amount of the total awarded to each « cluster » is not yet known (between 100 and 300keuros). The minister presented the degree at Regis FLOT, vice president of NOGENTECH who represented President Pascal GILLET, who was accompanied for the occasion of Romain Grosjean, project manager, and Jean-Loïc SQUARE, Director of Technology Center of High-Champaign.
